Howdy folks and welcome to the final week of the 2018 CSA season. It’s hard to believe that we are finally here but dang, what a year!

The CSA season may be over but you all can find us at the Hood River Saturday market until Thanksgiving time. We’re there from 9-1pm under the big red tent. We’ll also be participating in the “Fill Your Pantry” happening next Saturday afternoon at the Rockford Grange in HR (we’ll still be at the morning market that day too) so if you’re still in need of produce you know where to find us!

Alrighty, we’re going to sign off for the last time this season. We’ll be in touch individually with each of you after the holidays to connect about 2019. We always give priority to returning members so if you want in, you’ve got a spot!

Thanks again everyone for putting your trust and money into our farm. We couldn’t make a living doing what we love if it weren’t for all you badass folks. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Your farmers,
A & T

2018 Harvest 23

Howdy folks and welcome to harvest week 23. It’s pretty hard to believe that we only have one more week after this! This season has really flown by and we hope you’ve all enjoyed the veggies. This week we’re happy to have beautiful heads of cabbage in your shares. The cabbage stores well in the fridge for up to a month so no pressure to eat it right away (though it is cabbage soup season!)

Anyhow, hopefully you all get to relax a bit this week and cook up some tasty food.

Cheers!

A & T

2018 Harvest 22

Howdy folks and welcome to harvest week 22. We hope you all have been enjoying this warm sunny fall weather. It’s been incredible out here and it just feels so damn good to feel that late season sun on our bare skin. Hopefully you all have been able to get outside a bit and enjoy it too.

This week’s box has the sweetest carrots of the season (they’ve been through a few frosts now and they’re sweeter than ever because of that). The collard greens are tender and not bitter at all (thanks to that old frost again!) and broccoli is making its final appearance of the season. The spinach is hearty and tastes great cooked down a bit but also makes a killer spinach salad if you want to keep things simple. The winter squash stores well so no pressure to use any of it right away (it’ll keep for months in a cool, dry place). Anyhow, we hope you enjoy the veggies this week.

Happy cooking!

Your farmers,
A & T
