2020 Harvest 12

2020Harvest12.jpg

Howdy folks and welcome to week 12. It was a toasty couple of days out here and the crops (well some of them!) we’re pretty happy about it. So get ready for tomatoes!! They’re firing up and each week they get sweeter and sweeter with the heat. Plenty more hot weather crops will be making their debut in the coming weeks so hang tight! The leafy greens aren’t quite as happy in the 90 degree weather but we’ve been watering like crazy and things are going to be just fine. Anyhow, it’s a tasty week and we hope you all enjoy the bounty. The salmon recipe posted below is quite delicious and a great way to use up a lot of the veggies in your box this week!

Cheers to the harvest!

A & T & Baby P

2020 Harvest 10

Howdy folks and welcome to week 10 of your CSA!!! We’re officially in the double digits and we cannot believe how quickly time is flying. Things out here are getting toasty and the days feel a little long out in the fields with all the sweat and heat but hey, I guess that’s July for you! We’re just thankful that the water is flowing, crops are handling the heat so far, and things are looking good out here!

This week we’re happy to have carrots and beets together again, along with more zucchini/summer squash and bagged lettuce mix (the mix is already pre-washed so no need to wash it!) The first tease of cucumbers is here and we hope you all have made room in your refrigerators for more veggies this week! Happy cooking everyone.
