2021 Harvest 19

Howdy folks and welcome to week 19. This week we’re pretty darn happy about all the rain that the farm got over the past 24 hours and we’re looking forward to more on the way. The fall crops are thriving and this week’s haul is a reflection of that. We hope you’re in the mood for cozy soups, stews, and hearty dishes with the arrival of winter squash, cabbage, more potatoes and root veggies. The recipe suggestions are all about that comfort food!!

Happy cooking and eating everyone!

A & T & Little P

2021 Harvest 18

Howdy folks and welcome to week 18. We’re slowly starting to shift gears around here and as the summer bounty phases out we’re happily introducing the first of the fall crops. This week we’ve got baby bok choy and broccoli making an appearance along with more potatoes, lettuce, radishes and chard. Tomatoes are hanging on a bit longer but with colder nights and mornings that take a long time to warm up their production is slowing down.

We just mowed the corn plantings down and we’re seeding cover crop in areas of the field that we no longer need this season. Next week we get the last of the fall lettuces in the ground and in a few weeks we’ll get our garlic planted. And after that, we’re officially done planting for the 2021 season.

The winter squash harvest has just begun and it’s looking really good so far! We’ll start adding squash to your shares very soon! In the meantime we hope you all enjoy this week’s haul.

Happy cooking and eating everyone!
