2023 Harvest 4

Howdy folks and welcome to week 4!! We are STOKED with the harvest this week. It’s all about those first garlic scapes of the season! I know most of you have experienced the pleasure of spring garlic scapes but for those of you that are new to them they are essentially the “flower” of the garlic plant. We snap them off in the spring so more energy can go into growing the garlic bulb. The scapes however are so delicious and easy to work with (no peeling required!) that you can use them in place of garlic for any recipe. One of our favorite ways to use them is to simple toss them in some olive oil and grill them until lightly charred. Sprinkle some sea salt and viola! So darn delicious!

We hope the greens aren’t overwhelming you all. We know it’s a LOT! As the summer season approaches the boxes will change so bear with us!

Enjoy the weather and the food this week everyone.

Andrea, Taylor and our awesome crew
