Howdy folks, and welcome to Week 15 of your Tumbleweed Farm CSA!
Wow—15 weeks already?! I truly can’t believe how quickly this season is flying by. It feels like we just got started, and here we are, well into the heart of summer!
This week we’re pretty darn excited to have more sweet corn, melons, tomatoes, and peppers making their way into your boxes. Along with, of course, the usual suspects: fresh greens, root veggies, and herbs to round everything out.
We hope you’re able to soak up these last few weeks of summer vacation and enjoy every last bit of that carefree summer feeling. Our yard is littered with bathing suits, towels, toys, bikes and shoes and I honestly love it! I know with back to school around the corner so many people are sad that summer is closing. But don’t start mourning summer just yet! We still have plenty of summer left, with September just around the corner—and up here at elevation, our summer is really just getting started. There’s still plenty of sunshine, tomatoes, melons, corn, and other summer goodness to come!
Please check out the recipes below—our family absolutely loved the beef and green bean stir fry along with the peach and fennel salad (the fennel is the star of the show in the salad so definitely give it a whirl!)
Enjoy the bounty this week, folks, and savor those last sweet weeks of summer.
Your farmers,
Andrea, Taylor, Pepper, Maize and our awesome crew
