2026 Harvest 20

Howdy folks and welcome to week 20 of your Tumbleweed Farm CSA!

Well folks, it officially feels like fall out here. For the first time this season, we started working an hour later in the fields because of a mild frost—and you simply can’t harvest veggies when they’re frosty! We’re all bundled up in layers, trying to adjust to these chilly mornings. Dang, it’s been cold! But honestly, we love it.

The days have been warming up beautifully, and the morning sunrises have been absolutely out of this world. There’s something so peaceful about being out in the fields on these crisp, quiet mornings. And I’ll be honest, the extra coffee isn’t hurting either.

We’re especially excited about this week’s haul. The carrots are getting sweeter by the day thanks to the cooler weather, the first fall spinach has arrived, and winter squash is officially here! It’s already cured and ready to eat, so no need to wait—dig right in.

We hope you’re able to enjoy all the goodness in this week’s share. My favorite meal this week was the simple Ground Beef & CSA Veggie Hash. It’s definitely a humble meal, but my family absolutely gobbled it up, and it was such a great way to use up a whole bunch of your CSA veggies. And that delicata, fennel, and wilted spinach salad? A big hit with me and Taylor. So simple and so dang tasty!

Anyhow, we hope you enjoy this week’s bounty and soak up these beautiful early-fall days. We’re savoring every last bit of the season out here.

Happy cooking and eating!

Your farmers,
Andrea, Taylor, Pepper, Maize & our awesome crew
